mainpg: This was a skit at a youth event called Student Impact.
the scene is jessica sitting on the couch with her best friend, jesus.
Jessica- i was reading my bible the other day, and i read the story about when you walked
on water, that was SO amazing! i can't believe you can do that! you're awsome.
jesus just smiles and shrugs. then the doorbell rings.
Jess.-Oh, that must be Amy, umm, here you just stand here in the corner, and wait here.
she walks towards the door, jesus follows her.
jess- no stay right there i'll be right back.
jesus stands in the corner and waits. Jessica answers the door.
jess- oh, hi amy, what are you doing here?
amy- well, you know brad's party, right?
jess- yeah, did he invite us?
amy- yes, and he's in the car, come on, we have to go!
jess-Brad! he's the most popular guy in school! ok, just a minute!, i gotta put some stuff
away.
amy- alright, hurry!
jessica closes the door and jesus come up to her.
jess- no, you can't come, just stay here, i'll be back in a while!
jesus follows her to the door. jessica turns around.
jess- NO! you can't come.( jesus continues to follow her.)NO!! you're not going to be
welcome at that party! there's gonna be BAD stuff there, you can't come so just sit down!
jesus looks sad. he sit's down. Jessica and amy walk out the door. Jessica turns to the
audience,
jess- what are you looking at? you do it all the time.
this skit really hit close to home for me. I am guilty of hiding jesus and recovering him
when i need him. hopefully,
this skit will make you take a good look at your self, and if you can relate to jessica,
like i did, you might need to change some things.
